The widow

The widow

She once lived down town with her children
under the scorching sun
And at night while you are in the comfort of your home, she is out thereshivering in the cold with her children
  • Many times you walk by without noticing their was a soul living nearby.

The widow
She is a fighter
Fighting each day battle with her children with a glimpse of hope
Tomorrow is not certain they know but still they hang on
Their was no table for her to put food on for children
She served them dishes from the left over of the neighboring house while she kept the hunger pain in her stomach at bay.

The beauty and the bleached

Beauty and the Bleached
The beauty and the freshness we long for
Is no doubt here with us all along
We forget we are made of Black
That Black is the Beauty of our Nation

We forget that the epidermis
Is the shield which protects us
from direct sun rays
Yet we murdered it just to look like the white

With our home-made natural products
Our skin is sure to be pure
Be ger-free and glow like the diamond
it was meant to be

Look around you
and see the beauty within
We are Black
We are Ebony
We are beautyfull
Stop killing yourself.
Be proud of your color
Be Made of Black
Be Black
Think Black
Act Black
Black is the culture
It's our way of life

Beauty and the bleach
Dark and black
Black and brown
The skin of the body
The body of the Black
The black tag of Africa
Africa our Race

Here comes civilisation
exposure of the mind
That make us forget our Heritage
The Heritage of the Black
The Black people of Africa

Layer by layer
we murder the epidermis
The outer layer is been massacred
Oh no!! We want to look like the White
The White of the British
The British our idols
We forget that our climates differ

The epidermis gone
Bleached out with the anger to turn white
We thought white is the colour
The color of Beauty
The Beauty we so long for
Unknown to us we are the Walking Dead
Oozing from their chemicals
like abandoned corpses
